Kite surfing: Fleetwood Wind Direction: NW Wind Stength: 25 - 33mph Surf / Sea State: lovely waves Air Temperature: 17C Sea Temperature: nice Weather: Sunshine Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Day 2 of the weekend and a repeat of Sat with a little less wind. Still
pretty gusty though so kite almost fully depowered.
Got there a bit earlier than the day before so got to play in the large
waves at high tide, got a few jumps, a few tumbles and general messing
about for half an hour or so before the tide started receding.
Quite a lot of people out again, I counted 16 at one point and there were
about 3 windsurfers enjoying themselves.
whe the tide did turn, I had a slow deflation with the leading edge
collapsing which allowed the kite to almost invert on the gusts. I
immediately came off the water and packed in as it was almost impossible to
control. I've now gotta figure out hows it's happened, I'm hoping it's one
of the tubes linking the leading edge to the strut thats come loose.
Other than that, was a nice session. Just wish I could get out more rather
than there being loadsa wind in the week and sod all at the weekend.
